I love that. I finished reading N.D. Wilson’s “Notes From The Tilt-A-Whirl” earlier this week and he had a lot of wonderful things to say along those lines. He also mentioned how Western culture used to have a greater appreciation for the significance of death and how people used to plan their last words and their dying moments — their exits from the stage of the world, so to speak 🙂 Not a bad scheme, I suppose.
I absolutely agree – and was just having a conversation the other day with my kids about the difference between “school” and “education”. Homeschooling does allow for this natural learning like no school building can.
